Burger of the week #54

Very cool wooden burger from Sarah Illenberger. And oh my god she has "burger" in her name!

Oh my gosh… where have I been?

I'm here I'm here! Not going to lie, I've been a little blog remised lately. But I'll tell you why.

Blame Smash Book.

No, that's not a new social media network that allows you to verbally obliterate your enemies. It's my Smash Book, which, if you recall, I ordered back in February as a way to catalog the fleeting days of my 20s.

It seems I can't smash enough. It's the prefect combination of writing (cause Lord knows i have things to say) and cut and paste (which is pretty much what I majored in).

Looks like it will be time to reorder soon.

Burger of the Week #53

This amazing Hamburger Collection is from Marcella Lassen.

"The hamburger, has its roots in daily American life, in the 21st Century it has taken center stage on a global scale. Ms. Lassen’s consistent focus on this seemingly trivial subject manifests the significance of the hamburger being one of the very few cultural icons known in even the remotest corners of the world."

Burger of the Week #52

People have been throwing this image at me, so I figured I better get it posted!

I actually think this is quite beautiful, and if i had more time in the mornings to primp i'd consider making it my everyday look.

Blending into a Trend

I hadn't seen or heard the word ombre since color theory class, but this week it seemed to litter my blogroll. Starting with these
amazing tights from BZRshop.

Then, at some point today, I stumbled across this ombre-esque furniture from Lucas Maassen & Sons*. Which is beautiful in it's simplicity and intriguing with it's story. I could whitewash to my hearts content and my efforts would never look this effortless.

Want to try ombre yourself? Here's a great step-by-step breakdown for hand-dying a t-shirt from witandwhistle.

*In addition to their furniture, I also love the LM&S logo!
**Don't want to DIY? For $1500 you can have the folks at Anthropologie do it for you!

Burger of the Week #51

The burger may be an American speciality, but these Mini Happy Meals are straight from Japan.

These candy kits come with a powder that is mixed and formed to make mini meals.
And supposedly they taste like their larger counterparts! Happy Kitchen, you've made me very happy.

The reason I got nothing done last week...

I think it's time that I introduced you to HelloGiggles. That is... if you haven't already met.

HelloGiggles is the three-way collaboration between actress/musician Zooey Deschanel, producer Sophi Rossi and writer/Internet Sensation Molly Mcaleer.

I'm really impressed with the smart wit and edge in the contributors' writing, and I find myself getting lost for hours in the labyrinth of submissions! It's really place where girls can be girls— posting (or ranting) about entertainment*, social issues** and their nails***!

So join in, get lost, and good luck getting back to that pile of work!
